Andrew S. Graff, an associate at Leyendecker & Lemire, specializes in intellectual property matters, including the prosecution and drafting of patent applications and trademark registration.
Prior to moving to Colorado, Andrew earned his undergraduate in 2005 in Materials Science and Engineering from Purdue University. In 2008, he received his Juris Doctor from the Ave Maria School of Law. While at Ave Maria, Andrew was an intern at the Patent Law Clinic where he drafted a non-provisional application for an inventor and logged over 100 hours researching, drafting and conducting weekly meetings. He also clerked for a small boutique law firm that specialized in patents, trademarks, and copyrights and acquired general knowledge of trademark registration and responses. In October of 2008, Andrew became an associate for the same firm and furthered his experience in the prosecution of patent applications, specifically in the electrical engineering field. Andrew became a member of the State Bar of Michigan in November 2008.
After moving to Colorado, Andrew spent a year and a half as a project manager for Hewlett-Packard’s Patent Data Integrity Project and handled the data integration of new acquisitions. Before starting his own firm, Andrew was a contract attorney for a patent attorney in Loveland where he drafted non-provisional patent applications for small businesses and prepared complete responses to final and non-final office actions for a major software corporation. Prior to joining Leyendecker & Lemire, Andrew was the solo member of a law firm that handled intellectual property matters.
Andrew became a member of the State Bar of Colorado in October of 2009, and a
registered attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office in May of 2009. Andrew is licensed to practice in Colorado, Michigan, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
During his free time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys. When time allows, Andrew plays golf, soccer, and enjoys fly-fishing the rivers in Colorado.
