Mr. Paul's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and business law.

Jake earned his B.A. in History from Colorado State University. He earned his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he served as an officer for the DU Law Student Ambassadors, received the Scholastic Excellence Award for earning the top grade in Trial Practice and served as a coach for the Student Trial Lawyers Association Mock Trial Competition. While still in law school Jake clerked in Colorado's 17th District Court, the Office of Administrative Courts, and with a non-profit corporation in Boulder. Jake was also a research assistant for Professor Robert Hardaway, researching and writing on topics including an article on American death penalty jurisprudence, a book on election reform in America, and a legal treatise on preventative law. Jake is a member of the Colorado Bar Association (CBA), as well as the Denver Bar Association (DBA) Young-Lawyers Division.

Prior to the practice of law, Jake spent over five years in the banking industry. Working for a Denver area bank, Jake counseled individuals and businesses in maximizing their return in establishing accounts, utilizing banking services, and obtaining a wide variety of loans.

Jake is excited to be bringing his educational background and professional experience to the litigation and business law team at Leyendecker & Lemire.
