Mr. Haegele's practice focuses on patent prosecution and providing intellectual property counsel to individual inventors, entrepreneurs, and small companies. Albert has B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from Illinois State University, and a J.D. from University of Denver's Sturm College of Law. Albert's scholastic experience at University of Denver includes competing on DU's ABA appellate Moot Court team and representing DU clinic clients before the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Prior to joining Leyendecker and Lemire as a full time associate in 2007, Albert was an intern and patent agent with the firm.

Albert worked as an analytical biochemist for over 20 years before becoming an attorney. His experience includes work in the clinical laboratory industry and over 12 years in cancer research, He has participated in an innovative biotechnology start-up company, authored over 15 articles published in peer reviewed journals, and has presented his work internationally.

Albert's chemistry and biochemistry experience adds physical and life science dimensions to the expertise that Leyendecker and Lemire offers its clients. He is also adept at patent drafting in the mechanical arts, and has prosecuted patents before the US Patent and Trademark Office in a wide variety of disciplines.
